THE VICE CHANCELLOR MEETS THE DELEGATION OF THE FRENCH EMBASSY IN KHARTOUM
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Awad Saad Hassan, met in his office, a delegation from the French Embassy in Khartoum, represented by the Advisor of higher Education Cooperation, Mr. Michel Roux, and the French Language and Educational Cooperation Advisor, Frances Sidi. Notably, the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Siham Al Mesbah, attended the meeting, which discussed aspects of cooperation between the university and the embassy and its development to serve the interests of both countries. The meeting also dealt with the training of French language instructors and the necessity of developing basic training programs for the College of Education with the continuation of the training courses for them. The meeting stressed on a training course in March 2020 for the instructors and the Vice Chancellor promised to host it at SUST. However, the meeting discussed the possibility of participation of SUST in the Nabta Project, which is a joint venture between the Ministry of Higher Education and the French Embassy for academic exchange. The two sides agreed on the possibility of holding seminars and conferences in the field of French language. Professor Awad Saad stressed his full readiness to provide everything he could to serve the French language. Finally, the French delegation expressed its thanks and gratitude to the Vice Chancellor.
