SUST PARTICIPATES IN KHARTOUM INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Awad Saad Hassan, announced the participation of SUST in the Khartoum International Book Fair (KIBF) in its fifteenth session with 77 publications. The KIBF has started its activities in the Exhibitions Zone in Burri Neighborhood under the patronage of Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk, the Prime Minister. The Vice Chancellor reveals that SUST seeks to provide scientific studies to the Ministry of Industry to contribute positively in the development of the industrial sector. He said that, after the inauguration of SUST wing, participating with researches opens the door for professors and students at the university to obtain research information and insight. However, he revealed that SUST printed all the publications at its press and confirmed the arrival of a modern press at the College of Fine Arts. Importantly, he pointed out that there is a proposal by a number of professors at the university to develop scientific research, which is considered a priority of the next stage to raise the level of the university to be in the ranks of other universities. He added that there is a committee comprising a number of senior professors to evaluate the writings of the university book and he concluded that the university motivates and supports its professors in the field of authoring, editing and translation of the university book.
