STUDENTS OF PETROLEUM ENGINEERING COLLEGE WIN THE FIRST PLACE IN THE SOCIETY OF PETROLEUM ENGINEERS COMPETION FOR GRADUATION PROJECTS
Students of the Petroleum Engineering College won the first place among six universities contested in the competition of the International Society of Petroleum Engineers – Sudan section for graduation projects. However, twelve projects, out of twenty seven, competed for the top six positions and they were submitted by students from Sudan University of Science and Technology, University of Khartoum, Alneelain University, Omdurman Islamic University, Kordofan University and the Malaysian University of Petronas. The competition was administered by a Supreme Committee, headed by Hisham Awad Albulolh, and honored by the presence of the consultant of the Minister of State at the Ministry of Petroleum and gas, head of Society of Petroleum engineers – Sudan Section, a group of employees of petroleum and gas companies, as well as foreign engineers and a large number of students.
The jury of the competition consisted of engineers and specialists from various companies and universities.
