The process of teaching and instructing is one of the civilizational features adopted by the developed countries to keep abreast with the rapid Scientific progress and the renewal of information, this, in turns, entails updating of the mechanisms that convey the knowledge through a wide varieties of media and innovative methods. Sudan University of Science and Technology has committed it self to the development of technology through a multitude of learning vehicles to play and active part in scientific progress to address the intellectual, cultural and social changes which have taken place recently. The University shoulders the responsibility of promoting, training and qualifying students and the scientific research related to the needs of the community and the responsibility of openness towards other communities for more cultural and intellectual inoculation. The quality of high education is a challenge dictated by globalization and the information revolution. This challenge created a kind of honest competition between the universities at large and our Sudanese universities in particular, to find a remarkable and distinguished position among international universities by virtue of constructive research strategies and academic programs that satisfy the learners and address the prerequisites of development. The job of the college of High Studies is to supervise over the high studies. The academic activity in the colleges and institutes of the university and the relation of these colleges with the college of high studies is the job of the research boards in that respective college. The university presents sophisticated academic programs, namely, the Master and Doctorate programs through Distance learning to offer chances to Sudanese learners abroad and to foreigners out side Sudan.
